Experience
Faculty of The Ohio State University for 13 years: Director of Refractive Surgery until 1996,
Currently Associate Clinical Professor at OSU, teaching medical and optometric students and
OSU residents.
Performed over 7000 LASIK surgeries and thousands of PRKs and RKs since he began his
refractive surgery practice in 1978.
Investigator on early NIH and FDA studies of RK and excimer laser refractive surgery.
Extensive training in LASIK in Shanghai, China in 1996.
Performed LASIK surgery on Bobby Rahal, Brian Herta, John Cooper, and several former
Buckeye Football players, in addition to his own brother and sister-in-law.
Had PRK and LASIK surgery himself in 1997.
